Abstract : The invention pertains generally to the field of mechanical manipulators. More particularly, but not by the way of limitation, this invention pertains to mechanical manipulators used to provide external manipulation of objects from within a deep submergence vehicle. In greater particularity, this invention pertains to a mechanical manipulator which by means of independent actuators provides mechanical movement within a system of polar coordinates.
