Abstract : A DISCUSSION IS PRESENTED OF THE EQUATION OF MOTION FOR THE INTRINSIC ANGULAR MOMENTUM OF A CLASSICAL PARTICLE PLACED IN A HOMOGENEOUS EXTERNAL ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD. THE ANTISYMMETRIC TENSOR REPRESENTATION IS ADOPTED FOR THE INTRINSIC ANGULAR MOMENTUM, FOLLOWED BY THE SELECTION OF THE MOST GENERAL EQUATION OF MOTION CONSISTENT WITH A SET OF REASONABLE RESTRICTIONS. THE DISCUSSION IS THAN REPEATED USING THE FOURVECTOR REPRESENTATION, AND THE EQUIVALENCE OF THE TWO APPROACHES IS SHOWN. THE EQUATION OF MOTION DERIVED EARLIER IS USED TO OBTAIN AN EXPLICIT EXPRESSION FOR THE ANGULAR VELOCITY OF PRECESSION OF THE INTRINSIC SPIN
