Abstract : To analyze the job requirements for tank platoon leaders and sergeants, and to determine the relative importance of the job activities in combat, a master list was prepared on the basis of relevant literature and interviews with key personnel. The jobs in the list were rated by several hundred armor officers and noncommissioned officers in TOE units. A final list of jobs which they considered essential in combat was staffed, and prepared for use by the Army as a basis for determining the content of relevant curricula and proficiency tests, and for expanding the description for MOS 131.7.
