Abstract : An extensive treat ent on notation, terminology, concepts and computational procedures which have been found useful in the application of matrix algebra to multivariate experimental designs in the social and biological sciences. The presentation is directed to those with no more than a moderately goo working knowledge of high school freshman algebra and introd ctory statistics. Traditional and rigorous mathematical treatment has not been striven for. So e of the material which has been fo nd most useful in the formulation of experimental models and the analysis of data matrices is not readily available in the mathematical literature. (Author)
