Abstract : The utility of radar in measuring surface precipitation is studied. Radar techniques in measuring precipitation are to be improved for application to radioactive rainout prediction, trafficability, and communications. Effort was directed to determining the correlation between radar v riables and actual rainfall quantities by means of raindrop-size distribution. (Author)
