Abstract : Ferromagnetic resonance relations in single anisotropic YIG (yttrium iron garnet) crystals were investiga . The YIG samples were about 10 microns thick with a dielectric constant of 16. The peak of ferromagnetic resonance was at frequencies from 0.3 to 10 kMc. The frequency and resonance fields were measured simultaneously at various temperatures from -197 to 80 C . Correction to the H field, being about 0.03 oersted at 10 to the 10th power c was considered small enough to be neglected in experimental work involving samples of such thickness. A correction to the line width over a wide frequency range is predicted; development of a more refined technique is necessary, however, to determine minute line-width variations. (Author)
