Abstract : The emission of low frequency BREMSSTRAHLUNG BY A PLASMA IS CALCULATED, BY CLASSICAL METHODS, FROM A MODEL IN WHICH THE ELECTRONS INTERACT WITH THE PLASMA AS A WHOLE, AND NOT WITH INDIVIDUAL IONS. The Fourier expansion of the ion density is employed for calculating the time dependent electrical field at the position of an electron which moves along a straight line, and the Fourier coefficients of the electrical field are used for calculating the Bremsstrahlung spectrum. A coherence length occur in the final formulas and replaces the cut-off collision parameter of earlier theories. (Author)
