Abstract : The increasing number of complex scientific experiments being flown on JPL-NASA s acecraft for the exploration of the Moon, the planets, and interplanetary space is complicating the calibration and systems test problems associated with preparation and launching processes. The approaches to these problem areas are inadequate; new approaches must be and are being considered. Some problem areas and approaches are discussed. (Author)
