Abstract : The degree of protection offered by various window materials was investigated. Eight thermal paper indicators were selected, calibrated and evaluated after A-bomb exposure, with and without screen materials. In addition, the protection factor was determined independently by spectrophotometric means. Since results of 2 methods agree, it is possible to evaluate protection of screens by transmittance measurements.
