Abstract : IN THIS ANALYSIS, RANDOM FLUCTUATIONS OF BOTH AMPLITUDE AND PHASE ARE CONSIDERED AND FORMULAS FOR THE MEAN SQUARE BROADENING ARE DEVELOPED UNDER THESE CONDITIONS, THE GEOMETRICAL OPTICS APPROXIMATION BEING USED.
