Abstract : A system for controlling test-sample temperature in nuclear magnetic resonance experiments has been d signed and built. The system provides temperature control to within 0.1 C deg over a continuous range from -25 to +60 C using an electrooptically controlled heater element. For temperatures below room temperature, the heater opposes the cooling effect of a circulating liquid coolant. Critical requirements of size, shape, and materials inherent in magnetic resonance equipment have been met. (Author)
