Abstract : The data collection period at Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory, Franklin, North Carolina, terminated on March 31, 1962, at which time 105 rolls of raindrop data were obtained. A resume is given of the computer program to determine the collision efficiency between two water droplets under the influence of electrical forces due to charged drops. This research was initiated because the drop size data indicated coalescence-type distributions. It was felt that the importance of these distributions in the rain mechanisms warranted further study of the manner in which they were generated. Progress reports of the raindrop data collection programs and the data analysis aspects are presented. (Author)
