Abstract : Results obtained with the help of a radioastronomical swept-frequency interferometer at Kiruna Geophysical Observatory during the months March - December, 1961, are discussed. A special type of increase of the broad-band radiation intensity of the radio-source Cassiopeia has been observed. This seems to result from the focusing effect of single ionospheric regions of a size larger than the first Fresnel zone. An investigation of correlation of the increases with other geophysical parameters has also been made. (Author)
