Abstract : The improvement of the training capability of the F-101B for the Interceptor Weapons School, by replacing the normal pilot's attack scope with a radar intercept observer's scope was undertaken. The theory was to utilize the 466-179-110 box, similar to that in a TF-102, to serve as a junction and signal divider for both radar scopes. The modification was completed and successfully test flown. The pilot has a choice of the following presentations: 'B' sweep at all times, and a choic of 'A' scope or normal pilot's display. The radar observer has a choice of the following presentations: 'B' sweep at all times, and a choice of 'A' scope, normal display (Data Link or Elevation Marker), or attack display. (Author)
