The equations re very compl x and cannot be integrated in a simple way. Three examples are discussed where matters are deliberately arranged so that o ly a few processes occur simultaneously,AND THAT THE EQUATIONS BECOME RELATIVELY SIMPLE: (1) the production of divacancies during quenching; (2) the condition for the formation of vacancy clusters; (3) the achievement of the equilibrium ratio of singles and divaca ci duri g an ealing.
