Abstract : A methodology for classifying aviation repair items by their military essentiality is described, and the results of field trials to test its feasibility and applicability are summarized. Military essentiality data for several aircraft were obtained by the use of a questionnaire. The answers to the questionnaire indicate a high degree of consistency among respondents and a wide dispersion in the military worth of repair items. (Author)
