Abstract : A design for a ranched multiconductor able using silicone mterials is presented. The cable is intended for use at high temperatures during missile flight after storage under moist conditions at moderate temperatures. The cable has high heat resistance, excellent low temperature flexibility, heat and oxidative stability, aging and weathering resistance, low moisture absorption, retention of dielectric properies in presence of moisture and contaminants, and radiation resistance. For electrical performance and robustness, the silicone cable design discussed herein represents the bet attainable with current materials and in the light of present knowledge and techniques.
