Abstract : The discri inative reacti n time t au itory, vis al and vibrotactile stimuli are compared. Reaction time to vibrotactile signal are at least as short a the reaction time for the other modalities, although more inc rrect responses were made using that sense. Of greatest interest, however, the probability of a re ponse being made t a vibratory signal appears to be the highest of the three. The implications of these findings are discussed. (Aut or)
