Open-ended Terms: AN/USD-4, AN/USD-5, AO-1. Progress is reported of an investigation of sensor stabilization for Army aircraft. The model for simulation of airframe control dynamics was adapted for analysis of the AN/USD4, AN/USD-5, and YAO-1 aircraft. A reference level of air turbulence was chosen and the responses of the AN/USD-5 and YAO-1 to the gust environment were simulated. The imaging characteristics of photographic, infrared, and radar sensors were examined and stabilization requirements were determined. (Author)
