Abstract : It has been found that, on the average, impulse was slightly more affected by refraction than was peak pressure, and that energy flux was substantially more affected. In a large majority of the cases, impulse and energy flux were reduced by refraction. This reduction was usually brought about by decreases in both pressures and cut-off times, but the pressure effect was by far the major influence. (Author)
