Abstract : An investigation was made of the characteristics of ferrimagnetic resonators in microwave filters and their applications to electronic-warfare problems. The effort included a review of the present state-of-the-art in ferrimagnetic materials and filter configurations, laboratory measurements on the performance of representative filters using yttrium-iron garnet (YIG) as the resonator material, and an evaluation of such devices as components in reconnaissance and jamming equipments.
