Abstract : This report summarizes the work performed during the second quarter of an experimental program in which the forced convection and burnout heat flux characteristics of MHF-5 and MMH are being investigated. The results of 38 MHF-5 tests conducted at pressures of 250 to 3950 psia, velocities of 17.7 to 205 ft/sec, bulk temperatures from -33 to 308 F, and heat fluxes up to 49.6 Btu/in. sec, and 9 MMH tests conducted at pressures of 500 to 3000 psia, velocitiies of 50 to 150 ft/sec, bulk temperatures from 80 to 173 F, and heat fluxes up to 24.7 Btu/in.-sec are presented. Correlation of the data are discussed. The results of chemical analyses performed on MHF-5 and MMH samples, and electrical resistivity measurements for Inconel 718 and 347 stainless steel tubing are also given. (Author)
