Abstract : There has been developed a method for obtaining a nonsulfurous stable fuel from highly unsaturated sulfurous distillates by intense thermal treatment of mazuts and heavy residues by means of hydro-dehydropolymerization and desulfurization in the presence of hydrogen fluoride. In processing the distillates with hydrogen fluoride the dehydropolymers and sulfurous compounds form a complex with it, and in this way are separated from the hydropolymers. The output of hydropolymers, as depends on the content of unsaturated compound in the raw material, fluctuates from 80 to 93%. The hydorpolymers represent nonsulfurous saturated distillates with low freezing temperature, and can be used for obtaining any kind of motor or turboreactive fuel. Dehydropolymers, which form complexes with the catalyst, are easily separated from the hydrogen fluoride through heating; in this case the hydrogen fluoride is regenerated and can be used again in the process. Dehydropolymers represent olefins with two or three double combinations and possess the properties of siccative oils. (Author)
