Abstract : The results from an extension of the calculations previously presented on the effects of a magnetic field on the figure of merit of materials for thermoelectric and thermomagnetic devices are summarized. The main extension has been the use of exact statistics rather than assuming the non-degenerate case. Also the calculations have been extended to other cases besides the s = 0 case. A summary of the measurements on the transport properties of the compound PtSb2 is included. (Author)
