Abstract : A solution is presented for the design of time optimal control for discrete-data systems subject to control signal saturation. The statespace approach is used to determine the optimum control policy which is required to take the process, as represented by the state vector x(t), from a given initial state to a prescribed desired state in minimum time. Numerical examples are worked out to illustrate the design technique. The result is also vertified by means of analog simulation. (Author)
