Abstract : The elastic scattering of high velocity neutral beams has proven to be a useful method for determining interaction potentials at small internuclear separations. This report critically discusses the experimental and theoretical aspects of such scattering and the reliability of the derived potentials. It also discusses applications to specific problems where it is necessary to have a quantitative description of the intermolecular potential. (Author)
