Abstract : The measurement of the base pressures of wedges is presented. The tests were run at nominal Mach numbers of 4 and 6 and free stream Reynolds numbers from 840 to 8600. A cathetometer was used to measure the height difference of the oil sur faces of a small U-tube manometer mounted within the wind tunnel. Both span-wise and cross-base distributions of the base pressures were measured. (Author)
