Abstract : A systematic approach to the problem of the boundary conditions matching the conservation equations in the Hilbert or Chapman-Enskog procedures is given. Quantitative estimates are also given by using the Bhatnagar, Gross and Krook model; in particular, the second order slip coefficient is evaluated. The results are applied to cylindrical Poiseuille flow and the calculated flow rate is compared with experimental data. (Author)
