Abstract : This program has been established to investigate the various factors affecting the strength, ductility and oxidation resistance of a selected macrolaminate particle composite material. The investigation includes a study of particle geometry, forming methods and sintering. The process developed from the studies will be used to fabricate specimens for subsequent testing. The ultimate objective is the development of macrolaminate particle composite materials which have sufficient tensile ductility and strength to permit their use in structural members operating in an oxidizing environment at temperatures in excess of 2000 F.
