Abstract : Means have been explored to improve the procedure of preparing glycerol pectate. Esterification in a heterogeneous system, such as by suspension in methanol, has been studied from economical and practical view points. Continued interest has been given the preparation of glycidol by removal of carbon dioxide from glycerol carbonate. (Author)
