Abstract : The effect of temperature on cyclic creep phenomena was explored in the temperature range 77.4 to 295 K. Experiments were performed on annealed OFHC copper under conditions of an axial static tensile stress plus a superimposed fully reversed cyclic shear strain. The effects of temperature on transient cyclic creep, a relationship between minimum cyclic creep and fatigue life and a relationship between plastic hysteresis energy and fatigue life, are discussed.
