Abstract : It is shown that increases in maintenance manpower between 1961 and 1965 necessitated by the introduction of new equipment into a current Armored Division (TO+E 17D) will be negligible. The number and type of maintenance personnel required are determined from available manpower authorization criteria and the changes that will occur in the period 1961-65 developed by functional area, organizational unit, echelon, skill level, and training time. Methods are also described using flow charts to indicate the number and type of personnel required in a TOE unit to perform organizational, field, and aircraft maintenance. (Author)
