Abstract : In certain experiments in nuclear physics it is necessary to produce impulses of the voltage of extreme parameters. The possibility of obtaining short impulses with an over-saturated non-linear inductor in a condensor discharge circuit, including a thyratron, was examined. The length of the impulses obtained were tau = 1/5 x 10 to the 9th power seconds with amplitudes up to 10 kilovolts. By means of an impulse transformer values of tau = 1 x 10 to the -7th power seconds with a voltage of up to 30 kilovolts were obtained. (Author)
