Abstract : Geophysical data on water levels which occurred at various West Coast U.S. and Canadian locations after the March 28, 1964 Alaskan earthquake, are presented. A brief survey of existing knowledge on long wave theories shows no explanation for the unusual runup which occurred at Crescent City, California, and Alberni, British Columbia. (Author)
