Abstract : To systematically isolate the role of various alloy elements in the commercial 18 percent nickel marage alloys, a variety of iron-nickel binary, ternary, quarternary, and more complex alloys of high purity were explored. The delamination phenomenon in heavy plate sections of commercial marage steels was also studied.
