Abstract : This report describes the design techniques and computer programs of the RADC Assembly Program (RADCAP). Phase 1 can be described as three tasks. The first concentrated on studies of floatability, segmentation, and rollback and recovery aspects of a time-shared assembler. The second task, known as the Stage 1 Assembler, was an off-line assembler that produced object code to operate in a time-shared environment. (These two tasks are contained in Volume 1 of this report.) The third task of Phase 1 was the implementation of RADCAP under control of the Executive Control Program (Volume 2). The second major phase of work consisted of a set of five tasks: (1) Basic mathematical subroutine library and a library maintenance program; (2) a report generator; (3) program debugging package; (4) RADCAP programming manual; and (5) study of dynamic program structures.
