Abstract : The viscoelastic properties of five monodisperse polymer samples of polystyrene ranging in molecular weight between 80,000 and 270,000 were studied and accurate values of Eta sub t, J sub e, tau sub m, and E sub m were obtained. It is shown that the dependence on molecular weight of these quantities is very different from that predicted by the Rouse-Bueche Theory or by the Ferry Landel Williams modification of this theory.
