Abstract : More data have been analyzed for the normality of distribution and work has now begun on the presentation of results in map form. The onset and end of the rainy season has been investigated for a number of stations, the preliminary results show pronounced variations over small distances. The Contingency Table is used as a method to identify the areas and seasons which the meso-scale systems are the primary cause of the rainfall. This method enables areas of less data to be classified into meso-scale or macro-scale activity. A curve relating cumulative percent amount rainfall and cumulative percent frequency has been derived and shown to be of practical importance. (Author)
