Abstract : It was found that the n.m.r. data in H2-D2 mixtures can be accounted for adequately by extrapolation of the properties of the pure components. In particular the composite resonance lines are characteristic of a hindered rotator and no concrete evidence for isotopic phase separation was found. Although phase separation may be favored energetically below 4K, the diffusion rates are so small that the time required to produce observable domains can be extremely long. (Author)
