Abstract : Equations are formulated for a transmission line in which mutual inductance effects are important. For a semiinfinite line the equations are of a generalized WienerHopf type. The techniques necessary to solve problems associated with such a line are developed. The principal result of the paper is an integral representation for the solution of the equations corresponding to prescribed initial conditions and a given terminating impedance. (Author)
