Abstract : Effects of radiation and the cumulative random errors were detrimental factors influencing the match to the new slow wave circuits under investigation. The radiation problems were minimized by the use of shielded transmission lines as the means of coupling. An analysis of small random errors resulted in the construction of a higher voltage circuit having only 60 sections. This circuit was matched and should be hot tested in mid-January 1965. (Author)
