Abstract : In the development of high-precision gyroscopes and accelerometers, the Instrumentation Laboratory has had to provide Clean Rooms and develop assembly techniques to assure the performance level of these instruments. Attention is directed primarily to obtaining a consistent level of cleanliness of the instrument and not the clean room. Techniques ensure getting 'Class IV,' or better, work done in a 'Class II,' or poorer, Clean Room. (Author)
