Abstract : EQUALANT II, the second cooperative oceanographic campaign forming part of the International Cooperative Investigations of the Tropical Atlantic coordinated by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, was carried out in August - September 1963. Eleven vessels from eight nations (Argentina, Brazil, Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville), Nigeria, Republic of the Ivory Coast, Spain, USA and USSR) took part in EQUALANT II. Scientists from the Federal Republic of Germany, England and Venezuela joined some of the above vessels in order to participate in the Expedition. Oceanographic data presented in this report include: Description of participating ships and their programs, oceanographic station data, meteorological data, and biological data.
