Abstract : Silicon additions improved the stress corrosion resistance of magnesium-lithium alloys in the as-quenched condition. In the stabilized condition, none of the alloys, with or without silicon exhibited any stress corrosion. The silicon-bearing alloys investigated exhibited improved elevated temperature properties over the alloys without silicon. (Author)
