Abstract : The noise attenuation characteristics of the Lee Sonic Ear-Valv were obtained by both physical and loudness matching measurements. The results of all tests indicate that the Lee Sonic Ear-Valv attenuates intense and low level continuous sound and/or transient sounds to about the same degree. In other words, it appears to offer no advantages over any other ear plug. The Ear-Valv affords relatively small amounts of overall attenuation to white noise and discrete tone. (Author)
