Abstract : The geometry of a fin assembly effects the distribution of h on a fin. Decreasing the fin spacing increases h circumferentially on the front edge of the fin but decreases h at the fin root. The h values decrease with an increase of fin diameter. The h values, in general, decrease from the front to the rear of the fin. The use of temperature differences in the nodal equations is more accurate than the subtraction of actual temperatures.
