Abstract : A method is considered for finding upper and lower approximations for the solution y(x) of a boundary-value problem y' - Q(x)y = 0 for a linear second-order differential equation. The approximations are sought in the form of an n-th degree polynomial. As the degree of the polynomial increases, the error is sharply decreased. (Author)
