Abstract : An explicit guidance law was developed by Conrad (AIAA J. v3 1965) for minimum fuel horizontal translation of a rocket vehicle. This note demonstrates that Conrad's guidance law can be expressed more compactly by use of dimensionless variables. It is shown that the control variable depends on only one dimensionless state variable instead of the original two state variables. (Author)
