Abstract : The investigation is concerned with the theoretical prediction of the contribution of the constituent material properties to the macroscopic principal moduli and strengths of a unidirectional fiber reinforced composite. The theoretical results obtained for the prediction of the stiffness and strength have been compared with experimental data obtained using boron-epoxy and glass-epoxy composites.
