Abstract : Conclusions: (1) The heat transfer process can be intensified by the use of ultrasonic bivration. The experimental results showed that the average rate of increase of the coefficient of thermal conductivity between hot and cold was 80%. That between water and lubricating oil remained at 20%. (2) The result of the effect of ultrasonic wave was far from the maximum limiting value. Following the experimental results and theoretical discussions, it can be predicted that a still larger intensification effect may be obtained. An equation is given which suggests the main avenue of approach towards that goal. (Author)
